For this new contemporary class, discover Ferghas Clavey and his unique approach to movement. His class will focus on floor work, improvisation, and specific movement patterns, exploring the relationship between softness and power through the connection to the ground and the air.
His practice combines various contemporary dance styles, floor work, parkour, tricking, and climbing, with influences from physical theatre.
He is particularly interested in improvisation and in how environments and the spaces we move through influence and transform the way we move. His work explores the interaction between the body and the landscape, playing with constraints, points of support, and the possibilities offered by each space.
Ferghas Clavey
Ferghas Clavey is a London-based dance artist originally from the Lake District in the North West of England. More recently, he has been collaborating with Art of Spectra, deepening his focus on floor work and dynamic physical performance.
His practice blends contemporary dance styles, floor work, parkour, tricking, and climbing, alongside elements of physical theatre. He is particularly interested in improvisation and in how our environment shapes the way we move.
