After the first part at 5pm, TROIS C-L will be venturing into the world of dance with two public presentations of choreographic residencies:
Body that Stands explores the notion of resistance, as well as the multiple incarnations of physical resistance observed in different cultures and eras. Seizing on the world’s political turbulence, the piece looks in particular at the moment when resistance creates meaningful change. Body that Stands asks questions about the relationship between the act of resistance and the ability to persevere under extremely difficult conditions. The piece seeks to highlight and remind us of the strength and preciousness of living in a body and being united by our mass.
For two years, authors Akim El Ouardi and Nora Wagner accompanied the creative process of the dance piece Patchwork, created by four dancers with a passion for Hip Hop dance. This experimental documentary shows their creative process, zooming in on each of them. An intimate portrait of a group and the individuals who make it up, Moitié Moi captures the dynamics of each individual as they express themselves through dance.
