Here we are at the beginning of 2024. On January 1, 2023, the TROIS C-L became an institution of public interest, and is now known as the TROIS C-L | Maison pour la danse.
This date comes exactly 30 years after the creation of the first structure dedicated to the professional choreographic art “Théâtre Dansé et Muet” (TDM), the ancestor of the TROIS C-L. It is therefore also an anniversary, 30 years of contemporary dance created in Luxembourg.
This date marks a moment that invites us to remember the pioneering artists, collaborators, volunteers and administrators who have worked for the association, for dance, for the choreographic art of and in Luxembourg.
30 years is a very short space of time for all the work accomplished and the advances made by the Luxembourg choreographic scene. Today, we have choreographers, many of them with international careers, and we are witnessing the emergence of a new, highly promising generation that is challenging the codes of choreographic art.
TROIS C-L remains faithful to its mission to promote contemporary choreographic art: to welcome national and international artists, to offer ongoing training, to share practices and knowledge for professionals and amateurs alike, and to invent and reinvent pathways between artists and audiences.
On February 3, we’ll be launching the 3 du TROIS evenings, featuring work-in-progress presentations, meetings, performances and exhibitions…
At the end of February, the Plate-Forme AWA will move to the Banannefebrik. This festival offers a program of shows, workshops and summer events designed to raise awareness of the new European choreographic scene.
Another highlight will be the return on April 19 and 20, 2023 of Les Émergences, a program to support emerging choreographers and the future of Luxembourg’s choreographic scene.
For dance enthusiasts, TROIS C-L is offering workshops for different audiences as part of its MOVERS program. Registration for YOUNG MOVERS workshops, in collaboration with the LUCODA and KnowEdge associations, is open again for 2024.
New workshops are also being offered as part of 55+ MOVERS, which continue to take our 55+ participants on new creative adventures.
Let yourself be inspired!
