In his classical ballet classes, Brian CA approaches technical work as a space for precision and attentive listening to the body, allowing dancers to discover and strengthen the coordinations of classical technique while organizing movement with clarity and intelligence.
Through the technical tools explored in the class, participants will understand or revisit the connections between breath and the spine, gravity and its opposing bodily force, the relationship to the floor and elevation for balance and jumps, as well as the impulses of the arms and the back. The class is designed to allow energy to circulate through the body and movement, while maintaining a controlled projection of movement into space.
