Igli Mezini returns for the second consecutive year to TROIS C-L to give a new masterclass combining physical technique with playful exploration, offering a challenge both on an individual level and in group coordination. The main objective is to explore the body’s arcs and spirals in every possible direction, with a particular focus on the dancer’s relationship with the floor and their environment. Igli applies simple movement patterns that engage breath, speed, and energy throughout the body, activating the connection between the center and the joints. Special attention is given to the skeletal structure, promoting improved physical awareness and alertness.

The session will begin with exercises focused on expanding the body’s range to discover various movement possibilities. A complete warm-up, starting on the floor, will lead into phases of walking, running, and spiraling, with an emphasis on moving with breath and other influences. Igli will propose several creative exercises to explore the body using composition tools, integrating movement, spatial awareness, and rhythm. The relationship between precision and organicity, awareness of space, the ability to respond to its components, improvisation within a structure, and dramaturgical development will be at the heart of his philosophy.
