For this new OPEN MOVERS workshop, Florent Devlesaver invites you to discover his method, which is based on a living and organic process where dancers explore movement through improvisation and direct experience. The focus is on adapting to the present moment, using human interactions and scenography as key elements of the creative process. Florent encourages learning through experience rather than predefined forms, allowing for a constantly evolving personal discovery.
Florent Devlesaver is a Belgian dancer and choreographer who began his dance training as a self-taught artist, exploring different approaches to movement. Collaborating with numerous companies, he has participated in several productions, such as C’est beau with the companies DK-Bel and 6E Sens in Belgium, and Harmonia with the company Unusualsymptoms in Germany. More recently, he took part in the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, with Alexander Ekman as choreographer.
OPEN MOVERS workshops are dance workshops open to everyone aged 16 and over. Each session is led by different choreographers, allowing participants to discover various dance styles and express themselves freely—whether they are passionate dancers looking to refine their technique or beginners curious to experience movement for the first time. Everyone is welcome!
