For this 55+ MOVERS workshop, Aurore Gruel wishes to explore and experiment with the notion of a “danced alphabet”.
From sign to dance, from solo to group
After classical training, Aurore Gruel turned to contemporary dance while pursuing studies in philosophy. Her work engages the body in a poetic act. Her instinctive, musical and reflective dance is a journey. On the edges, she travels through her filiations and escapes classification. Poetic and always on the edge, in active research, her projects question the multiplicity of relationships between time/space/body/matter through different devices: installations, performances, shows…
Aurore’s dance practice and her work with groups are always linked to the research and creative processes she undergoes as an artist. For this 55+MOVERS workshop, the aim is to go beyond preparatory work on the bodies, to research choreographic composition based on an alphabet of signs to be danced.
Participants will be invited to explore their creative universe through a mindset that emphasizes collaboration, process and sharing. They will also experience the transmission of choreographic material from the artist’s latest solo DÉ-CORRÉLATION.
Discover the work of Aurore Gruel and her solo DÉ-CORRÉLATION at our next HORS CIRCUIT, on Saturday November 23, 2024.
