OPEN MOVERS avec Sina Saberi

To mark International Dance Day, TROIS C-L invites you to journey into the world of Sina Saberi through this new OPEN MOVERS workshop!

Originally from Iran and now based in Germany, Sina is a choreographer, performer, and cultural manager. In his artistic practice and research, he draws on his cultural background and explores dance as an alternative state of being. He questions what connects personal experience to public space, with the aim of creating a sense of community and shared experience. This approach can be seen in particular in his trilogy Prelude, Damnoosh, and basis for being نرگس, in which he explores the human condition through choreographic research — a body of work he has been presenting internationally since 2016.

Born on January 19, 1988, in Tehran, Iran, Sina Saberi first studied literature, language teaching, and communication before turning to the performing arts in 2012. In 2017, he founded Kakeshan, an indeterminate space dedicated to movement research and choreographic creation.

He comes to TROIS C-L as part of the exchange with K3 – Centre for Choreography | Tanzplan Hamburg, to develop his project MARDOM from April 20 to May 3 at TROIS C-L, and will present this work in progress during the 3 du TROIS in May.

OPEN MOVERS are intergenerational dance workshops open to everyone aged 16 and over, with no upper age limit. Each workshop is led by a different choreographer, offering participants the opportunity to discover a variety of dance styles and express themselves freely — whether they are dance enthusiasts looking to deepen their practice or curious beginners exploring movement for the very first time. Everyone is welcome!
