For the professional class in November, dancer and choreographer Aurore Gruel is coming to the TROIS C-L to give a new contemporary classe.
The central question of this week of professional classes will be: What moves you in dance?
After an initial phase devoted to awakening the body, Aurore Gruel will propose work based on her research and its transmission. The aim will be to explore cycles in order to develop a ‘meteorological study’ of the body’s states, commitments, presence and availability. The aim of this work is to refine the listening skills, accuracy and precision of movement, while seeking out its poetic dimension.
About Aurore
After having trained in classical dance , Aurore Gruel turned to contemporary dance while continuing her studies in philosophy. She developed an artistic approach where the body is engaged in a poetic act. Her dance, instinctive, musical, and reflective, is a personal process. By exploring boundaries, she revisits her heritage and defies classification. Under the sign of the poetic and always in pursuit, her projects explore the multiplicity of relationships between time, space, body, and matter through various mediums: installations, performances, shows… Her research and creations unfold in cycles, processes, and specific collaborations.
In 2004, Aurore Gruel founded ORMONE, a structure dedicated to the cross-exploration of various artistic fields (dance, music, visual arts, film). ORMONE is imbued with a spirit of collaboration, creative process, and sharing. At the end of 2020, she took on the artistic direction of the Choreographic Laboratory of Reims, where she continues to support, welcome, transmit, and nurture emerging choreographic creation.
