Living in a time dominated by globalisation, it is obvious that the economy and society increasingly aspire to create a utopia of “global synchronisation”. With Synchronization in process, the Luxembourg choreographer, Anne-Mareike Hess takes a critical look at this evolution and takes the audience to a vibrant place, where three dancers devote themselves to “being together in just one time”. Getting close, pacing themselves, merging and giving birth to a thick fabric of intertwined bodies. Anne-Mareike Hess took part in a debate relating to the meaning of her creation on 16th October 2016 (Location: Salle José Ensch, Centre Culturel de Rencontre – Abbaye de Neimenster). The debate was organised by neïmenster and discussed the relationship between the body and the digital world).
