Les Nouveaux.elles Créateur.rice.s aims to encourage the creation and development of Luxembourg’s choreographic scene by presenting the works of selected choreographers Isaiah Wilson and Lorena Stadelmann over two exclusive evenings at the Banannefabrik.
A veritable launch pad, this new programme aims to bring to the forefront artists with promising young careers whose artistic proposals deserve the full attention of audiences and professionals alike!
Isaiah Wilson will explore the relationship between the human body and technology. By placing performers in contact with a machine and electrode systems that stimulate their muscles, score will explore the duality between the simplification of actions brought about by technology and the loss of free will and disruption of cognitive capacities.
Lorena Stadelmann will seek to decentralise the figure of the artist on stage and to be at the service of an energy greater than a simple body. Using her voice and a staging reminiscent of certain rituals, Lorena will share and embody the energies created in the space and moment before disappearing for all to see. After all, they say that when someone dies, it’s the sound of their voice that’s forgotten first.
