In Dreaming Scarlet Medusa, Yoko Kominami brings to life the meeting between « Odissi », a form of traditional Indian dance and Butoh, a contemporary Japanese dance. With this creation, the choreographer tries to go beyond the original narrative of these chorographical trends. She wants to recreate and reassert the sense and value of dance in this two practices, whilst also using the encounter with other styles of dance; traditional or contemporary.
