IMPRESSING THE GAND DUKE – There was once an artist, called Nymphadora. Nymphadora lived on the third rainbow (from the left) in the last Grand Duchy of the World. There, she dreamed, danced and created from dusk ‘til dawn. Everything was perfect in Nymphadora’s world until the day the Grand Duke’s messenger came to visit with a very important mission for her: Nymphadora, one of the most promising emerging talents of the Grand Duchy had to find the most original idea in the world to create a performance. This is why Nymphadora got down from her rainbow and soon found herself in the deep and mysterious forest of choreography…
Simone Mousset and Elisabeth Schilling are two dancer-choreographers who have been collaborating since 2015 in every imaginable way. Impressing the Grand Duke is their first piece as a performing duo and is inspired by their own experiences as “emerging” artists in Europe.
