“I can’t feel it. I place my hand on my chest. I have the image of a black flower in bud deep inside me. When I get up to speak, this flowering plant sucks in my courage and closes again. The ground gives way beneath my feet and I am in freefall without being able to stop. And, yet, before speaking, I was confident on steady ground. I know… you are missing, but why?”
A lack of confidence, Maki and her past are at the heart of this creation, using multidisciplinarity (music, dance, video) to guide the audience on this long journey.
