The hands are out-stretched, looking for something to lean on. Through the skin, she sends and receives vibrations, trying to orient herself. Emotions come quickly, uncontrollably through her body. All that she desires, is to love. Weakness turns to a seizure of power and slowly and powerfully, she starts to circle the space, steps become leaps, the momentum erupts… ready to fight.

Fascinated by the belief that a strong and ferocious man is all that is needed to progress things and save the world, Anne-Mareike Hess embarks solo on a journey to become a warrior. Within a soundscape that is both distorted and gentle, a deeply poetic image of human fragility and internal breakdown emerges. A dancing body caught in perpetual battle with its emotions.
